Copy the matching template; keep raw data, pattern, CIFs, and metadata together.

Fill in metadata

Record instrument, scan conditions, batch, contributor, and license.

Assign every phase

One CIF for a single phase; one XRD pattern with several CIFs for a mixture.

Review manually

Use checked / needs_review / unchecked to preserve uncertainty clearly.
